MEDICARE TEENS

At our Totally Teeth practices, we gladly accept the Government distributed Medicare Teen Dental Plan Voucher. Please do not let these expire and call your local Totally Teeth today.

This voucher provides eligible teens aged 12–17 up to $163.05 per year towards preventative dental treatment.

The preventative dental check includes an oral examination and, if required:

• Xrays
• A scale and clean
• Fluoride treatment
• Oral hygiene intstruction
• Dietary advice
• Sealing of pits or cracks in a tooth - (fissure sealing)

To find out if you are eligible for the voucher please contact your local centrelink. Below are some of the criteria but this can change at any time so please do contact your Centrelink to confirm the below information.

Teenagers:

• aged 12-17 years
• Eligible for medicare
• Whose family receives Tax Benefit Part A or who receive the following gvmt payments: Abstudy, carer payment, disability support, pension, parenting payment, special benefit, youth allowance, double orphan pension or
• 16 years of age or older and receiving financial assistance under the veterans children education scheme or the military rehabilitation and compensation act education and training scheme.
